HowMuchie for iOS and Android

These terms govern your use of HowMuchie on iOS and Android.
HowMuchie is provided by Codelogy Labs Pte. Ltd. ("we", "us" or "our"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is handled. The applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms also apply. For iOS, Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement governs the app licence unless another licence is supplied through the App Store.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use HowMuchie on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and applicable store rules. We retain ownership of the app, software, branding and other intellectual property.
You must not use the app unlawfully, infringe another person's rights, interfere with security or advertising systems, or sell, redistribute or commercially exploit the app. You must not copy, modify or reverse engineer it except as permitted by law or an applicable licence.
HowMuchie provides currency conversion, travel budgeting and local Travel Groups expense calculations. Rates, totals and repayment suggestions are estimates based on available rate information and your entries. They are not guaranteed transaction rates, financial advice, proof of a debt or proof of payment.
You remain responsible for the accuracy of your entries, your financial decisions and any arrangements with other group members. HowMuchie does not hold or transfer money or settle debts between users.
You retain ownership of your entries. You are responsible for having the right to enter information about other people and for avoiding unlawful or unnecessary sensitive content.
Trip and group records are stored locally. We do not provide cloud backup or recovery of those records. You are responsible for keeping any records you need; device loss, deletion or changes may cause data loss. Any device-provider backup is governed by that provider's terms.
HowMuchie offers advertising-supported Free access and an optional annual Pro subscription. The benefits, price and renewal terms shown at purchase form part of your purchase agreement. Paid access is subject to a valid entitlement; Free limits apply when that access ends.
For an auto-renewing subscription, you authorise recurring annual charges until cancellation. Billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds are governed by the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play through which you purchase. You are responsible for cancelling through that store before its renewal deadline. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
Purchase access does not include recovery of lost local data or a promise of transfer between stores.
To the extent permitted by law, HowMuchie is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, the accuracy of third-party information, or support for every device or currency. Third-party services and advertisements are subject to their providers' terms; we do not endorse advertised offers.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or business opportunity, or loss caused by inaccurate user entries or matters outside our reasonable control. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims connected with HowMuchie is limited to the greater of SGD 30 or the amount you paid for HowMuchie in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
We may update the app or these terms. We will give reasonable advance notice of material changes unless a legal or urgent security reason requires otherwise. Changes apply prospectively and do not remove accrued rights. Subscription changes remain subject to applicable store rules and mandatory law.
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your licence for a material breach, with a reasonable opportunity to remedy it where appropriate. Termination remains subject to applicable law and does not remove accrued rights or obligations intended to continue.
Singapore law governs these terms, and disputes are subject to the courts of Singapore. This does not remove mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction available under applicable consumer law.
These terms are the entire agreement about use of the app, subject to the applicable store licence and purchase terms. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights except as permitted by applicable store rules or law; we may transfer ours to a successor to the app without reducing your rights.
